Jackie, "A Celebration of Breaking the Color Barrier"

Jackie Robinson

Jackie used
racism to climb to
the highest of heights
I don’t smoke weed
but I used to
I know what It’s like to be the
highest of high
Broke the color barrier
And the crazy narrative that negros
should stay out of sight
And the lie of “hand it to me”
Though we should hand it to him
For Taking that fight

Today we
are told don’t
work and put up your feet
They will
cook and clean, and do the work
while you watching TV and eat
But if Faye here
And you don't do your part
everyone is, catching that heat
A lack of grit
There’s a entitlement
And we always feel defeat

Don’t be afraid work
It might hurt
And you’ll be thankful in the long run
A full human Is supposed to create
And you’ll love it when the works done
So get off your stash
Oops, off the hash
So you can see the fun
I'm too creative to have a problem
We can solve em
I'm signing off, J. Brinson
