• Is 63:1-4 Edom, the descendants of Esau were a constant enemy of Israel despite their common ancestry in Isaac. Edom rejoiced at any trouble Israel faced. The imagery in this passage is of a watchman on the wall of Jerusalem, seeing Edom approaching and fearing that the Edomite king in his red garment is leading an attack. But it turns out to be the Lord, in bloodstained clothes, who has trampled and destroyed Edom, and returning from the victorious battle. Jesus, the champion of the hosts above fights our battles.

• Is 63:5-6 The future salvation of Israel and humanity in general will be a single-handed accomplishment of the Lord. This explains why when it was time to go to the cross, His disciples deserted him because no one would need to die with Him. He did this so the salvation of humanity could be perfectly achieved. In the same manner, each one of us has been called alone to fulfill an assignment for Him. God would raise for us Destiny Helpers (when necessary). May you receive grace to achieve destiny in grand style even if it's a lonely walk.

• Is. 63:7-9 The subject is changed temporarily to showing gratitude to God for what He had done in the past. It continues with the celebration of the divine goodness, and especially with an eye to the Church’s mercies in time past. It is worthy to be observed, how often the redemption of the church from Egypt, and the blessings in the wilderness, are mentioned in different parts of the Bible. The Holy Ghost thus taught the Church to exercise faith for all that was to come, in recounting the Lord’s goodness for all that was past; and certainly this is how our expectations are met.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to maintain an attitude of gratitude for my ultimate altitude in life. Ps 67:5-7
5 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You.
6 Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

Father in the name of Jesus, empower me in these three days marathon fasting and prayer on the prayer altar. May all my desires for this quarter and year be granted in Jesus' name!

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
