Marines Conduct Helicopter Support Team Training

April 21, 2022 - U.S. Marines with 3rd Transportation Battalion and Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, and 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, conduct Helicopter Support Team training at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The training utilized a CH-53 Sea Stallion with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 466 to conduct on-load and offload drills of an M777 howitzer artillery piece. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
