Trigger: to cause an intense and usually negative emotional reaction in (someone)

If we allow our triggers to go unchecked they have a way of becoming so negative that we lose our sanity, our peace, our focus, and our victory.

What Is An Inner Vow— when we get hurt, we make promises to ourselves (not to God) to keep ourselves protected and safe

When We Are Betrayed — I have been hurt too much and will never be hurt by anyone like that again, including God

When We Are Lonely — Since people and God have abandoned me, I need to take care of me

When We Are Abused — I should have kept my abuse a secret, Now others know and are upset

When We Are A Victim — They are getting away with this, so I need to take vengeance out myself

When We Are Controlled — They have been controlling me, my relationships, my life, so I will take full control and make my own destiny

When We Are Traumatized — If I ignore and avoid this deep pain, it will eventually go away and

What Are Some Observations About Inner Vows

Inner Vows Are Made Quickly When We Experience Pain
When we are hurting deeply we are not thinking deeply

Inner Vows Are Sometimes Made At Young Ages
We carry deep pain with us all the way to adulthood, these vows become unconscious habits.

Inner Vows Are Can Become Entrenched As Generational Behavior
Men: We don’t hug, lose, say, “I love you”, cry…

Inner Vows Are Replacing God

Inner Vows Are Seeking Us To Become Loyal To Them Rather Than Loyal To God
When our loyalty is tested, we remain loyal to the vow, not God and not people

Inner Vows Are Made Without Deep Conscious Awareness
Inner Vows go into hiding until someone or some action TRIGGERS them

Inner Vows Are Triggers For Us When They Are Violated

Inner Vows Are Very Subtle And Can Make Peace With Us
