1-Shot Turkey Hunting, Beards and Spurs 2022 watch as Vince pays his dues for a period of 9 days in order to harvest a mature tom on Public Land on National Forest in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Learn as Vince tries several tactics to call this mature tom in. Using his mapping app to locate and label new areas to hunt, he hikes over 38 miles in search of a tom! The first day of the season starts off with a rare April snow storm that puts the birds in silent mode. This is followed by. mixed sun and rainy conditions for the next 8 days. From going in before daylight to hunting at midday, several strategies are used to try and harvest this bird. After a few days of hunting it is clear that the bird Vince is getting on is probably the one he has hunted for the last 3-4 years. And this bird will not come in to the calling, but will locate out of sight gobbling to signal the hen to come to him. After several hunts like this, the name Ghost Tom is given becomes he comes and goes without coming in for a visual, but you can hear his dramatic gobble as he haunts the woods he calls home. Finally on day 9 Vince does something completely different. After hearing the bird gobble, he determines the birds location and with a rain storm coming goes after the bird on a stalk hunt. With the odds stacked against him, will Vince be able to harvest this majestic tom one on one while trying to stalk close enough for a shot! You won't be disappointed!
