Liquid Organic fertilizer is used to feed seedlings, and other plants in the food forest, as well as other established raised beds, and pots.

We received a few truck loads of compost and wood chip mulch and begin building the Yard Garden.

How to plant potatoes? Potatoes need time below the soil in the cool to develop good spuds. Here in zone 7 or zone 8 they must go in early to catch the weather right before hot late spring and summer.

Planting flowers to border the gardens and draw pollinators into the space is also adding to the diversity and complexity of the growing this season.
