International Asteroid Day - June 30

International Asteroid Day is celebrated on June 30 because on June 30, 1908 a mysterious asteroid hit a Siberian forest.

Asteroids are rocky leftovers from the formation of the solar system 4.6 billion years ago. They are mainly composed of minerals and rocks and they revolve around the Sun and are sometimes called planetoids or minor planets.

Designating the international asteroid day, I will give you 10 asteroids who have left their mark either by burning out and leaving a crater on our planet or they are just around and might have a close encounter with our earth in near future.
