Russia is HALTING NATURAL GAS

The stock market saw its worst day in months as the S&P & NASDAQ crept back to yearly lows. In the midst of the commotion though, one big piece of energy news emerged out of Russia. What started out as a rumor and got quickly confirmed, Russia has begun the process of cutting off gas to countries in Europe. European stocks were already down, but it could be argued we saw some of this get priced in today. This has a ton of implications and could present itself as an outside shock beyond earnings, however the timeline to watch this all develop is over the next few weeks. Nonetheless, this was key news and I go over the natural gas stocks I am looking at and plays on UNG stock as a response. There was also a ton of activity with MSFT & GOOGL earnings, and depending on if Microsoft's Azure guidance was enough to spark the bulls, we will see how things play out.
