GORDA? REALLY!? The SERINO TAINO Heritage CORONA GORDA - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

Today's cigar comes from a company I was first introduced to over two years ago. But, at the time, I was hesitant to branch out and try new brands and blends (that's why cigar subscriptions are so cool). So, when this Serino Taino Heritage Corona Gorda arrived from CigarClub two years later in May of 2021, I knew it was time to give it a shot.

Right off the bat, visually, the Serino Taino Heritage looks great. The medium tan wrapper looks great, but there was a water spot on the cap that wasn't visible anywhere else.

On the cold draw, the resistance was perfect, but the pre-light flavors were a little sour. Once the cigar was lit, however, the flavors, in contrast to the medium-colored wrapper, were very bold.

About halfway through the cigar, my stick developed an uneven burn likely caused by a stem in the wrapper.

Additionally, when it came time to remove the label, the excess glue on the paper stuck to the wrapper and caused the leaf to tear, damaging the cigar.

Final Thoughts

The Serino Taino Heritage Corona Gorda is an okay cigar. The flavors were alright, but in the final third they became a little more harsh. There were also some burn issues in the second half.

Personal flavor preferences and minor construction issues aside, the cigar performed fairly well. Overall, the Serino Taino Heritage Corona Gorda is a decent cigar and earns a CigarScore 4.
