Just SQUEEZE IT FIRST! The Dunbarton Mi Querida TRIQUI TRACA No. 652 - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

Today we're smoking a relatively new cigar from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, the Mi Querida Triqui Traca No. 652. I received this in the April Platinum Box from Luxury Cigar Club.

The first thing I noticed about this Triqui Traca (prounounced “tricky trock-a”) was that it had a couple visual flaws that could impact the overall experience. As you'll see in the video, there are two areas where there appears to be holes in the wrapper that could effect the draw.

Upon cutting the cigar, the draw was a little tight, and on the cold draw, I tasted pine. I cut the cigar a second time in an attempt to open up the draw, but it didn't work.

The initial flavors were a little stale, but that could be just a fluke. After lighting the cigar the draw was still tight, and I thought I noticed a stem in the smoking end that was causing some of the problem.

Through the middle of the cigar, the draw remained impossibly tight. Despite messaging the final third, I couldn't improve the airflow. However, when I could taste flavors from this Mi Querida Triqui Traca, they were pretty good. And, the burn was mostly even.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I found the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Mi Querida Triqui Traca No. 652 to be fairly disappointing. However, with a different stick, you'd likely have a much better experience than I did.

When I could taste the flavors of this cigar, they were rich and leathery, almost like a musty barbeque. I didn't hate the flavors of the Triqui Traca, I just struggled to taste them.

In the end, despite having trouble with this stick, I would smoke this blend again. So, the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Mi Querida Triqui Traca No. 652 earns a CigarScore 3.
