A Cigar that SYMBOLIZES the INDUSTRY? The Alec & Bradley KINTSUGI - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

I've always found the Japanese culture fascinating. I love the art forms, the sense of honor, and the culture. So, When CigarClub sent me the Alec & Bradley Kintsugi Robusto, a cigar named after a Japanese art form, I was very intrigued.

NOTE: Kintsugi is art made by taking something broken and putting it back together so that we can take our shattered past and turn it into something beautiful.

Regarding the cigar, it felt a little dry to the touch. Once I'd cut the Alec & Bradley Kintsugi, the draw was a little tight.

However, on the cold draw, I tasted spice and wood, and perhaps a little lemon. After lighting the cigar, I smelled a nice aroma, and the draw started to open up just a bit.

Through the middle of the cigar, the flavors were a little bit spicy, but also a little bland.

Final Thoughts

After smoking the Alec & Bradley Kintsugi Robusto for just under an hour, I had some thoughts. The first 25% or so was just okay. The second 25% was not bad. But most of the second half was fairly bland and almost stale. While there was some spiciness, there weren't a lot of good flavors that I enjoyed.

That said, the construction on this Kinstugi was pretty good. The burn was fairly even. The draw was fairly good. So my main problems with this cigar were with the flavors.

For $8, I think there are better cigars out there for you to smoke. If you want great cigars that cost less than $10, check out the Top 10 Cigars Under $10 list here. Because I didn't care for this cigar, the Alec & Bradley Kintsugi Robusto earns a CigarScore 3
