SHORT SMOKE + Construction ISSUES? The Crowned Heads MIL DIAS Edmundo - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

Today's review is another blind review, the second one thus far. Going into the review, Ellory didn't know what the cigar was, what tobaccos were in it, or who manufactured it.

The first thing I noticed about this cigar (the Crowned Heads Mil Dias Edmundo) was its aroma. In fact, that's probably what drew me to this cigar when I was searching for what to review next.

When I cut the end with my v-cutter, I had no problems and hoped the draw would be good. It was okay. On the cold draw, I tasted a lot of cedar and a little citrus. However, after cutting through the cap, part of it came off.

Once lit, the Crowned Heads Mil Dias Edmundo had a light, leathery aroma that had hints of something sweet, perhaps like cinnamon. After a few puffs, the Mil Dias transitioned away from the lighter flavors into something with more body, and the cinnamon evolved into spicy ginger.

Through the middle of the Crowned Heads Mil Dias Edmundo, the flavors were just okay. I also experienced a fairly uneven burn and had to torch one side to even it up. Also, there might have been a hollow spot at about the 20-minute mark. However, despite the problems, the draw was pretty good.

Final Thoughts

After smoking the Crowned Heads Mil Dias Edmundo for 46 minutes, the cigar was done. A well-built robusto should last about an hour, and this one quit well before the 50-minute mark.

Through the first two-thirds of the cigar, the burn was uneven. I had to relight the cigar at least once. And, the flavors were just okay.

Because of the short smoke time and the burn issues the Crowned Heads Mil Dias Edmundo earns a CigarScore 3 (again).
