Trout Fishing with Trav & J Outdoors

Today I loaded up the fishing gear and slipped over to Casey Creek in Trigg County, KY with Travis from @Trav & J Outdoors. Casey Creek is a spring-fed stream that is stocked with rainbow trout throughout the year. I’ve been here a few times but this was Travis’s first time trout fishing, and it was fun to bring a friend along and spend a few hours wetting a line.

Travis and I went to elementary school together so we go way back, and when he started a YouTube channel with his friend Jordan that was actually a big inspiration for us to jump into content creation as well. The Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife stocks Casey Creek with rainbow trout 9 months out of the year. This is a spring-fed stream so it’s cold year-round. It was almost 90°F this day and that water was still really cool; it was tempting to go for a swim but I managed to stay out of the water.

We didn’t have quite the day we hoped for but it was still a great time out with a friend. Maybe next time we’ll have some better luck and we can do a catch, clean, and cook. Trout is very tasty so that would be a lot of fun. Thanks for watching!
