On Juneteenth 2021, singer & songwriter Macy Gray wrote a scathing op-ed for Marketwatch titled "For Juneteenth, America needs a new flag that all of us can honor." The article contends that the American flag has been tainted due to its usage in the January 6th protests on Capitol Hill. Gray proposes an "off-white" flag that is renewed in its determination against hatred. In this era of black lives matter, racial "justice," and other woke movements, if the American flag perishes then what else remains?Mr. Watson explains the meaning of the flag and debunks Gray's arguments by doing so.
