Living Life Inside Out - A Deeper Look into Romans 12

Did you ever realize this truth? The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him. This comes right out of Romans 12:3 (MSG). There will never be a better way to find out who God is and what He's done for us than by jumping into His Word. What we get out of that is the discovery of who we are meant to be when we look at life through his eyes.

Reflecting to my children's younger days, there was no greater joy than watching life being lived through their eyes. Everything was new, adventurous, exciting, and yet also sometimes scary but as long as they kept their focus on me leading them through their first attempt of going down a slide, or getting on that bike, or walking into their Kindergarten class and releasing my tightly gripped hand from theirs, they had peace, reassurance, and faith knowing I was going to be right there with them every single step of the way. Why? Because they trusted because of my words and actions that followed. And that is exactly what we get when we immerse into God's life changing from the inside out written words we call the Bible.
