New Mold Love and How to Calculate How Much Soap Fits In A Mold

This video was made right before I made some cucumber melon soap. I was using one of my brand new molds from Winston and Walter Artisanal. We are not sponsored by this company, but love the quality of the mold so much that I talk about it a lot. There are a bunch of great features to these molds like a thick liner that seems to help the soap pop right out when de-molding, sturdy handles, and notches along the sides to help place embeds.
Also in this video we talk about how to calculate how much oil to mix for the larger mold. Incase you were wondering- you figure out the volume of the mold (length X width X height) and then multiply that by .4. That will give you the amount of oils you need. Then simply put those numbers into soapcalc.net and get the information for your lye solution.
