Surf's Up! Freeport, Texas

Say it real fast: “She sells Sea shells by the Sea shore!”

I had to spot my trailer at Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas overnight (June? July? of 2006), so, I went to see the Gulf of Mexico – for the very first time. I Bob-tailed over the Hurricane Emergency Escape Bridge to get to the Ocean (they have another such bridge on the way out of Freeport as well), parked my truck, then got out and began toward the “Surfside Beach.” I got maybe five feet and noticed two ladies checking out my truck as they walked by and I asked one of them if she wouldn't mind snapping a pic of me beside my truck. Well, ends up I took a few of them, too, and they of me, and we shared a great moment in time. The two ladies were from either New Mexico or Nevada or Arizona, can't recall which, or if it was some other, but, at any rate, they were on their way to Tennessee, apparently, pulling a trailer with two horses inside to sell once there.

I took off my shoes once near the Ocean, astounded by the beauty before me and carefully waded in. Much to my surprise, the Gulf Ocean water was bath tub warm!

Whoopie!
