That same year, a Latin translation of the work was also included in the publication of the Musaeum Hermeticum (or Hermetic Museum). Even at that time, the work was believed or purported to be about 200 years old and originally authored by a German sage who had successfully produced the Philosopher's Stone through the process and methods of alchemy.
