Why did God create the Devil? God must have known that Lucifer would have become evil but created him anyway. Walter Veith explains how God created His creatures with the capacity to choose good or evil. God did not create robots that are programmed to blindly love Him. God places value on the choice of love for Him. Sadly, freedom of choice implies a choice can be made in the other direction, away from God.
