Transition your catasetinae from organic to inorganic media and avoid the yearly repot. Organic media will break down so fast, because of the needs of catasetinae for high water retentive media and a lot of fertilizer. Growing catasetinae in inorganic media will allow your catasetinae to grow without disturbance for as long as the pot size is still adequate. Besides, why cut off live roots every year, just because the media is broken down and because of that, the #orchid needs a repot! Let your catasetum grow! #Catasetinae in self watering for beginners.
