How Human impact on land can be reduced

A problem with rural land is that some people will leave trash on it. On today’s walk I found water bottles and other plastic waste. Some of it may have come in from animals, but pay close attention the important message being shared today.

When walking land for clients or my own property I find trash from years gone by. Some old farms have dumps which include interesting cast iron, wagons, and other farm implements. But most of the time I find plastic. Why do humans make so much waste?

Please do your part to pick up trash and be mindful of where your garbage lives. Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse. And never burn your trash in your yard. These are pet peeves of mine when it comes to existing in nature as a partner rather than a pest.

Studies show that plastics are decomposing into micro plastics. These tiny particulars get into waterways, then finally into the human body. Micro plastic mimics estrogen, can cause cancer, and doesn’t pass through the body. Take responsibility for your trash, use less plastic, and seek more sustainable reusable packaging.
