Vale Hanshi Steve Arneil. And Today, Looking At Uchi Uke, The Hidden Gem of Kihon.

We mourn the loss of another of Kyokushin's great leaders, Hanshi Steve Arneil, who passed away on July 2nd, 2021. Vale Hanshi Steve and condolences to his family and students.

Today we are taking a look at Uchi Uke and it usefulness in transitioning into Range 4, the gyakute range. The versatility of this technique is often minimised because it has little use in full contact tournaments, where many Kyokushin dojos focus. But combined with the second hand, it becomes very useful and practical.
