Butterfly Bush Finally Pruned after 20 years (Buddleia)

This 20 year old Buddleia plant had probably never been cut back. I cut it back to four feet hight in the center. It probably could have been cut back another foot and a half lower. It's hard to imagine, but this extreme pruning is actually good for increasing bloom at eye level.
