Dr. Larry Sanders talks about how you have to have experienced really tough things to be able to help someone else going through a tough time. Dr. Sanders shares his personal story of abuse and neglect, and what led him into psychiatry. He's lived through the death of his wife, and his daughter to suicide. We talk about how people respond to really difficult life circumstances. We need others to help us when we're suffering. "Without trials, you can't have wisdom. Without wisdom, you can't help anyone." Find out how to begin to heal from suffering.
