The Wild Bill Hickok and Davis Tutt Gunfight (1865)

July 21, 1865 Wild Bill Hickok shot Davis Tutt on the Springfield, Missouri town square in the first documented quick draw shootout in American history. The dispute involved a gold pocket watch and a ten dollar gambling debt. I visit Tutt’s grave, the site of the poker game, the town square, and the dr. Office where Tutt was pronounced dead.
