Should Every Video Game Have An Easy Mode?

We were recently playing through some of Elden Ring together over on our let's play channel, Degenerate Plays, and an interesting conversation came up that I wanted to share. There has been a lot of debate over whether or not video games should include an easy mode and whether or not games should change for us or we should change for the game. I wanted to talk about this a bit, because I do believe it extends beyond just this one topic to pretty much every hobby.
