Part1 Pilgrim Gosling Hatches from Wrong End of Egg!

The air cell developed on the narrow end of the egg, making hatch time difficult. This little guy pipped and zipped a decent hole, but got stuck from progress for several hours. I intervened when he soiled in his egg, the exposed down was starting to dry out with no progress in his zip, and he was clearly weakened from trying. I zipped the egg shell most of the way, but he still had to work his way out of the remaining membrane. 0
