The Six Pack of Peaks Challenge was created by Angeleno hiker and outdoor enthusiast, Jeff Hester. The original Southern California Six Pack of Peaks was developed by Jeff in preparation for thru-hiking the John Muir Trail. Those training hikes evolved into the original SoCal Challenge, multiple websites and now several Six Pack challenges around the country. 2021 is the 7th year the SoCal Challenge has been available to the community as a social event bringing many together online and on the trail.

This is my fourth year completing the challenge. This video is a compilation of all eleven hikes completed this year for the challenge. Peaks climbed in order of date:

Sitton Peak – January 9th
Strawberry Peak – January 16th
Sawmill Mountain – February 6th
Mt Baldy – April 17th
Cucamonga Peak – April 24th
Mt Baden-Powell – May 1st
Mt San Jacinto – May 8th
San Gorgonio Mountain – May 17th
Ontario Peak – May 30th
Mt Wilson – June 5th
Santiago Peak – June 12th

My buddy Brian Ravitch (the dude that is featured in the first few hikes) and I cover, House of the Rising Sun by The Animals. Brian played the music and I performed the vocals. It was great fun recording the number in Brian's home studio.
