A citizen of Mariupol, Anatoly Esipenko, told the Ukrainian troops and national units sacrificed civilians in order to present them as “victims of Russian aggression”:

— What did the Ukrainian military do?

— Shots from under the windows. Armed Forces of Ukraine and Azov. Tanks drove up at night and fired.

— Why did they shoot from peaceful buildings?

— To call back fire. To cause destruction. To make us “victims of Russian aggression”.
