"If only there had been a way to show myself this scene from the future when I first received my baby girl’s Down syndrome diagnosis. We found out around 12 weeks in utero, and I was absolutely terrified and even disappointed. I look back now and I can’t believe that I felt that way. Now I realize how incredibly lucky I am to have my daughter and how her Down syndrome diagnosis is not something to be feared. In contrast, it is a blessing. So much love, so much joy, and so much beauty in getting to see the world through a different lens. I wouldn’t have it any other way."
