How to Get Rid of Water Retention Naturally
Water retention is most common in the feet, ankles and legs, although it can occur anywhere in the body, including the face. In today's video, you are going to learn a very simple recipe to reduce water retention.
Everyone knows that fruit is great for our health, but what most people may not know is that the nutrients of many fruits are concentrated in the one part we tend not to eat: the peel. This is the case with apples. They are delicious, but most of their beneficial properties reside in the peel.
Apple peel contains pectin, a type of fiber that turns into gel in your intestines and helps your body eliminate fat. This fiber improves your bowel movements and also has a laxative effect. Its regular consumption has been associated with a reduction in cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
Another little-known benefit of apple peel is its ability to eliminate water retention and bloating.
Water retention and bloating may be caused by diseases or poor eating habits such as excessive consumption of salt and sodium. Apart from exercise and better eating habits, liquid retention can be treated effectively with apple peel tea.
Apples are rich in potassium which helps reduce sodium levels in your body and increases urine production.
The recipe is really easy:
Ingredients
The peel from 1 apple;
250 mL of water.
Instructions
Put the apple peel in boiling water, and then let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Once the tea cools off, drink it.
It is recommended that you consume this tea three times a day in order to see the best results.
