5 Effective Home Remedies for Gastritis

1. Rice water

Boil 1 liter of water. Add 150 grams of rice. Let it cook as normal and strain the liquid before the water is completely absorbed by the rice. Drink during the day, always at room temperature.

2. Apple and Chamomile tea

Heat a freshly sliced apple in 500 milliliters of water. When it comes to a boil, add 1 tablespoon of dried chamomile. Wait a few minutes, turn off the heat and let it stand. Drink every morning at room temperature.

3. Holy Thorn tea

Boil 3 cups of water and place 3 tablespoons of dried Holy Thorn leaves. Let it steep for a few minutes. After straining, you can drink it immediately. Preferably, drink a cup half an hour before main meals to protect the digestive tract and avoid heartburn.

WARNING: Keep in mind that pregnant women shouldn’t drink holy-thorn tea because it causes contractions in the uterus, which can lead to the onset of labor.

4. Potato juice

Press 1 grated potato to extract the juice. Take 1 tablespoon on an empty stomach or 30 minutes before meals.

The length of time that you need to consume this type of juice may vary according to the ailment you need to treat. In the case of heartburn, drink for a week.

For gastritis symptoms consume for two weeks. In case of a gastric ulcer consume for one month.

5. Sweet Potato pulp

Blend 1 sweet potato and 600 ml of filtered water. Strain with a cotton cloth. At the bottom of the bowl there will be a solid content, which is the sweet potato pulp. Allow the pulp to dry in the sun or in a cabinet or pantry free from humidity. When completely dry, mix the powder and store in a glass jar.

When you’re ready to drink it, simply dissolve one teaspoon of sweet potato powder in 200 ml of water.

Drink in the morning on an empty stomach, before lunch, and before dinner.
