How to Grow Thick Eyebrows Naturally
Today’s fashion has always craved thick eyebrows. Well-shaped eyebrows can make your face look more desirable, whereas thin eyebrows can give you a dull and older look.
Many women have eyebrows that are much too thin because they overpluck them, thread them or wax them. However, sometimes eyebrows become thin because of aging, deficiencies in nutrients, issues with makeup and even medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism, eczema and alopecia areata. Sometimes medical procedures, such as chemotherapy and radiation, can cause loss of hair, including eyebrows.
However, if you find that your eyebrows are too thin, you can easily solve this problem with some of our natural home remedies. Today we will share our top six ways to re-grow your eyebrows naturally.
1. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is one of the most versatile oils out there. Not surprisingly, it can help to make your eyebrows more dense because of the proteins and vitamins that it contains. The Vitamin E, protein and iron contained in coconut oil help your eyebrows to grow healthy, thick and darker.
Here’s what to do:
1. Put a few drops of warm coconut oil on your fingertips and apply it on your eyebrows.
2. Massage gently for a few minutes to boost blood circulation.
3. Leave it on overnight.
4. The next morning, rinse it off with warm water.
5. Do this daily for 1 to 2 months to notice changes in the thickness of your eyebrows.
2. Castor Oil
Another remedy for growing your eyebrows is castor oil. This oil is full of protein, vitamin, fatty acids and antioxidants. All of these nutrients feed your hair follicles and help your hair to grow quickly and thick. The oil can also help to keep germs off your hair that may prevent your eyebrow hair from re-growing.
1. Soak a cotton swab in pure castor oil and apply it on each eyebrow.
2. Massage gently with your fingertips for 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
4. Wash it off with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser.
5. Repeat once daily for a few weeks until you notice improvement.
It is very important that you stop using castor oil if you experience any burning or irritation on your skin.
3. Onion Juice
An unusual, natural remedy to help with eyebrow hair growth is onion juice. The juice of the onion has sulfur in it that helps to produce collagen and strengthen your hair.
1. Grind 1 small onion and extract the juice.
2. Massage this juice into your eyebrows for about 5 minutes.
3. Allow the mixture to dry on its own and then wash it off with a mild cleanser and cold water.
4. Follow this treatment once daily for several weeks.
4. Olive Oil
Another oil that is helpful to your hair growth, including eyebrows, is olive oil. Olive oil has a vast amount of Vitamin E that helps your hair to grow quick, thick and dark.
1. Massage your eyebrows with warm olive oil for 5 minutes before going to bed.
2. Leave it on overnight, then rinse it off with warm water the next morning.
5. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is also helpful to your eyebrows because of the enzymes and moisturizing characteristics that it holds. Aloe can even make the skin around your eyebrows soft and healthy.
1. To use, extract the gel from an aloe Vera leaf.
2. Gently massage it over your eyebrows.
3. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
6. Egg Yolk
You may not know this, but the hair contained in your eyebrows are made of keratin protein. As eggs are a great source of protein, the yolk of a row egg can help the health of your eyebrow hair.
1. Break 1 egg and separate the yolk from the white part.
2. Beat the yolk until you get a thick, creamy consistency.
3. Apply it on each of your brows with a cotton swab.
4. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
5. Use this protein treatment once or twice a week until you are satisfied with the result.
