In today's video, you are going to learn a few things you can do to save the bees.

Most people’s first reaction when they see a bee is to scare it off, or worse, kill it.

What these people may not know is that these small insects are extremely important in our lives because of their main job: pollinating. Bees feed off the nectar found in flowers. They collect this substance from deep within the flower with their tongue.

They also collect pollen, the male reproductive cells of the plants. Then, they take the pollen from one plant to the other, aiding in their reproduction.

In some areas of our planet, bees have disappeared and caused some fruits to stop producing. The specialists believe there are two causes of the bee’s disappearance: pesticides and deforestation.

To give you an idea of the magnitude of this problem, it has been estimated that one out of every three foods you put in your mouth wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for a bee.

Be it directly or indirectly, over 70% of human nutrition depends on pollination, and consequently, bees. So it’s our duty to respect and protect them. Otherwise, we might lose our food diversity and part of the world’s population to hunger.

How about pitching in and helping the bees?

In today’s video we’re going to teach you a very simple trick.
