HOW CAN WE PROTECT OUR CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH?

Even the most ardent follower of the official narrative must by now be finding it a challenge to argue that our children and young people have not paid a very heavy psychological price for the Government’s Covid-19 response.

And they continue to pay: even though the messaging is a little more muted now, we are still cloaked in an overarching mantle of fear with the threat of further punitive measures — especially in schools — never far away.

My guest tonight is Dr Zenobia Storah, an independent child and adolescent clinical psychologist who has seen at first-hand the damage done to our young people over the past 18 months by a raft of disproportionate responses including lockdowns, mask-wearing, and testing, as well as the devastating impact of the unrelenting fear-mongering.

She is a member of the Health Advisory and Recovery Team (HART), has provided expert witness reports in legal claims brought by children challenging public health policy, and was among the speakers at last month’s Question Everything one-day Lockdown Summit.

Join me at 5pm when I will explore with Dr Storah the catalogue of harms she and her colleagues have personally witnessed and — crucially — what we can do right now to both help young people begin to recover and safeguard their future mental health in these most uncertain and disturbing of times.
