Now Is My Soul Troubled

This is the day that we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Resurrection Sunday (Easter Sunday) is three days after the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. And with His death, He purchased the souls of men with His own blood, and with His resurrection on the third day, He gave us eternal life. But before He could get to the resurrection, He had to go through the death, and always, that was at the back of His mind, I’m sure. The constant reminder of the price that He would have to pay for the redemption of the souls of mankind weighed on His shoulders.
