Is it worth it?

Is the use of firearms the solution to our security? Against thieves it would be, but against emotional lack of control it is difficult to think how safe it would be to walk on the street without knowing who we can touch without the risk of losing our lives. What do you think we are prepared to deal with each other especially when we are armed?
