Ready Supply of Kindling and Firewood, No Splitting Firewood

Even if you have a small yard you can have an abundance of kindling and firewood. It's a matter of how you manage your shrubberies and plants. Here's how I have an unlimited supply of fuelwood for making charcoal, cooking, or campfires with family.

No splitting, no heavy wood to carry.

WARNING: Some shrubberies are not good for cooking. I use some wood simply to get a fire started, then save oak, hickory, maple, and while cherry for cooking. Most shrubs will make food taste odd.

It's all part of a brush management plan that includes chop and drop. I don't haul any brush off the property. I even receive a larger volume from my neighbors in this urban neighborhood. This video has examples, https://youtu.be/2A4vlfefkd0

You don't have to be messy about it. This brush can be cut down and stacked nicely. It really is up to you. When you cut off trees on the ground many will coppice. That means to grow back with many trunks rather than the one you started with.
