Savage Arms Mark II TRR-SR , .22 bolt action rifle

We shoot the wonderful Savage Mark II. The TRR-SR, comes with plenty of great features. This includes the standard Savage Arms, Accutrigger that measured right at 2 lbs.

Weight of the rifle is 7.85 pounds and OAL is 41". It felt really balanced to us. While this Mark II sports an interesting Picatinny rail system allowing the user to attach lights and lasers, rail, we preferred the rifle without the rail system.

The 22" hard carbon steel barrel has a threaded muzzle, making it suppressor ready right out of the box. Accuracy was impressive. In spite of poor range conditions (rain, blowing wind and hail), we we able to get a couple of 1/4" inch groups. I'm sure it's capable of better results once we dial the ammo in. All testing was conducted with CCI standard velocity rounds.

From the Savage Arms website:

The Mark II TRR-SR features a black hardwood tactical stock and Picatinny rail system. Its 22-inch, heavy carbon steel barrel is button rifled and threaded for attachments. User-adjustable AccuTrigger™ technology is standard, as is a 5-round detachable box magazine.
