The SLOWEST Shot Of The Season (Top 5 NBA Slick Plays)

Late in the fourth, Mykail Bridges pulls off a fast one on the Nuggets, to pretty much seal the game.
You know how I always say, on defense, never assume anything.
So on the out of bounds play, Booker is the passer. The alignment is such that he’s supposed to get the hand off, get a screen from Ayton and have either a clean look, or a matchup with Jokic while Ayton rolls inside. So obviously the Nuggets are trying to prevent that, but they’re so caught up in that, that Bridges uses the moment to just take off straight to the rim and catches everyone by surprise.
The fact that Booker is doing all this waiving, asking for the ball, on a play that he’s supposed to get it anyways, is convincing me that this is just acting in order to sell the play, that was designed as a decoy for Bridges to finish.
The Phoenix Suns are becoming regulars on my top plays list, stay with me and see who else was feeling genius last night. What up everybody my name is Stefan and this is Heatcheck
Let’s get into it.
Check out this superb connection between Ayo Dosunmu and Zack Lavine for the alleyoop slam!
On the inbounds Lavine gets it to Dosunmu on top, Vucevic is already there for the pick but slips it and goes to screen for Lavine. Herbert Jones is too agressive to go out and Zack uses that to cut back to the rim and get the highlight dunk! Boom!
Brook Lopez directed this play from half court, slowly, walks through the Wizards defense, and throws down the alleyoop!
You can see Brook waving to Wesley Mathews to clear out, then, he calls Bobby to come and make the screen, and as we stop it right here, this looks like a double screen for Jrue Holiday to penetrate to the basket, but instead Lopez smoothly continues to the rim, the Wizards big guys are frozen on the free throw line and Jrue knows exactly what to do as we enjoy the alleyoop!
Last night, Bones Hyland caught fire from downtown in the first half against the Suns.
First he screens for Reed who is handing the ball to Barton, and Cousins is getting ready to make another screen for Will, at least that’s how it looks by now, but Hyland turns and Boogie screens for him, confusing the Suns and he drains the 3 pointer.
The Cleveland Cavaliers executed this quick and effective play for the Markkanen dunk.
As the play starts with this fake handoff, you can see that these are the matchups.
So now, Lamar Stevens moves towards the corner and Lauri goes to screen for him.
That means that Thadeus Young needs to switch it, but as soon as that happens, Markkanen just slips the pick, and dives to the rim, there’s nobody there now, we got the pass and the finish for the finish big man.
Since this is a top 5, here are a few honorable mentions real quick.
First, Ish Smith escapes this trap and delivers a no look bullet to Porzingis inside for the dunk.
We also got this amazing spin from Holiday, as he attracts the help, finds Connaughton outside who knocks it down.
Then, just for giggles, here is by far the slowest release of the night and probably of the season, by none other than Kyle Anderson. Wow this is mesmerizing so we gotta see it again. He even faked out the cameraman. Amazing.
And also the slowest half spin of the night, Slow Mo froze the entire defense with his slowness, and finds Melton in the corner for the 3.
I know that the Anderson 3 is my favorite but let me know what was yours. That’s it for now, subscribe and talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
