Passover Blessings!

Get ready for Pesach (Passover) @everyone!!!!! Clean all the leaven out of your homes, this includes yeasts, baking powders, and anything prepared with these (cookies, crackers, cereals etc) Leavening is a metaphor for hypocrisy and a puffed up spirit of Pride (mankinds specialty!) so as we clean these things out of our home and burn them, we also prayerfully survey our own lives and ask YHVH to eliminate all traces of self righteousness, pride, hypocrisy and unfaithfulness in preparation for this High HolyDay. According to the Calendar outlined in the Scriptures it will begin this year at sundown of 4/17 (according to the Gregorian calendar) that is this coming (sun) First Day! According To The Scriptures to properly observe Pesach each household is commanded to take an unblemished yearling lamb for their household, to slaughter (not sacrifice) it at twilight and to apply the blood to the lintels and doorposts of their homes. They are commanded to eat the meat, roasted over fire. (Exodus 12:3-5) While many say, based on Deuteronomy 16:2,6 that we may no longer slaughter a sheep for Passover as the Temple is no longer there, our own family believes that we are in the time of the Spiritual Exodus from Babylon and as such we observe the Holy Day exactly as outlined in Exodus 12, (before the Hebrews entered eretz Yisrael and became Israelites) no priests, altars, or temples. Just families, hearths, and a home anointed 🩸. In that spirit of humble submission, we slaughter a sheep each Pesach according to the original commandments given when YHVH brought his people out of Bondage. At twilight, we read Isaiah 52-54 as we drain the blood and prepare the Paschal Lamb to be roasted, remembering the Messiah, and His ultimate gift by which He, the Lamb of Yah, covers the sins of the entire world…. for eternity!!! We also read Matthew 27-28 as we continue to prepare a simple feast of unleavened bread, bitter herbs (greens) and a whole roast lamb. We sing Psalms and read and discuss Torah all night on our flat rooftop as we roast and eat the lamb finally before dawn we burn the remains completely along with any wine and herbs remaining. It is a most solemn and Holy Day and as we each go forward in observance of it in whichever ways the Father has called us to do so- let us humbly Keep in remembrance Yeshua’s FreeWill offerring by which we have been ransomed from sin and death! AMEN!!!!!!! This scene brought to mind Isaiah 11…..
