TikTok videos of numerous Russian women cutting up their @CHANEL bags have emerged after the designer company elected to stop doing business in Russia due to the conflict in Ukraine. TMR takes a closer look, reflecting on this latest example of the influence of American neoconservatism on Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

Here are some Russian models/influencers cutting up their bags in response to this. The only reason I find this fascinating is because this seems like something the American Right would do and its mirrored here in Russia. [External Video] Oh my god, she’s got those huge scissors, garden sheers. That’s effective. They’re hardcore, though, Americans barely wanted to destroy their Keurigs. These are expensive bags assuming they are real, you know no offense to anyone. Alright, so anyway, that’s interesting to me because we are currently seeing a Right-wing push against Disney here in this country. There’s been destruction of woke products by Right-wingers for the burning of Kaepernick Jerseys other things like that. That was particularly sad because those bags are beautiful. That was idiotic because I’m sure they would be vintage if you just hold to them and sold them later in life.
