Scientists continue to caution that the covid pandemic is not over given a resurgence in cases sweeping the UK with infections in over-70s at a record high

However, now with the media's attention elsewhere, the UK government has finally opened a consultation on the terms of reference for the UK Covid-19 Public Inquiry and the WHO has begun a process to develop a Pandemic Preparedness Treaty for future pandemics.

You can take part in the public consultation here https://covid19.public-inquiry.uk/. The consultation will close on 7 April 2022 at 23:59.
