The new BMW IX M60 the best of three worlds of i, X and M

An electric SAV with the traditional and sporty brand of BMW M: here's the BMW iX M60. With peak power of 619 hp * and instantaneous maximum torque of 1,015 Nm in sport mode and 1,100 Nm (using launch control), the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and corners like a sports car. , as all its suspension setup was also designed by BMW M.

The BMW iX M60 combines a sustainable vehicle concept with the bold design and interior space of an SAV, not forgetting the exhilarating driving characteristics expected from a high-performance BMW. In this way, it embodies the best of the three worlds of the BMW i, BMW X and BMW M.

Second electric model to pass through M's hands, the BMW iX M60 delivers the power of its electric motorization up to high acceleration ranges, so that the increase in speed is also almost constant until the top speed - electronically limited - of 250 km/h. The range of the BMW iX M60 established in the WLTP test cycle is up to 566 km*. All this reinforces the road-going character of the new SAV.

The debut of the BMW iX M60 represents a milestone in the history of BMW M, which began 50 years ago. Together with the BMW i4 M50, it represents the acceleration of the BMW M brand towards the high-performance electric car segment.

The special spice of the M division is everywhere. The extreme power and precise control of the electric four-wheel drive, together with the specifically tuned M air suspension technology with automatic height control, guarantee the driving experience, agility and precision characteristic of the BMW M.

The BMW iX M60 is manufactured along with the other model variants at the BMW Group factory in Dingolfing, Germany. In terms of a high-tech car, the place for its debut couldn't be better: virtually in the middle of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, United States. Global sales will begin in June.

The BMW iX concept provides an ideal basis for an all-electric SAV with high-performance characteristics. The structure itself bears witness to the sporting commitment. To reduce weight, high-end materials were used abundantly. The aluminum spaceframe concept and carbon structure in the roof, side and rear sections are a clever mix of materials that combine increased rigidity with light weight. BMW M GmbH pioneered the use of CFRP in large-scale automotive production.

The performance, efficiency and range of the BMW iX M60 also benefit from its advanced aerodynamics, which provide an aerodynamic penetration coefficient of just 0.26, an impressive result for an SAV of this size.

Of course, perfect dynamic balance is a concern common to other BMW cars. To this end, weight distribution was a concern from the beginning of the project. The high-voltage battery is located on the floor in the center of the body, lowering the vehicle's center of gravity, which ensures agility and a balanced distribution of axle load.

That's why the performance characteristics of the BMW iX M60 are not only marked by fascinating spontaneous acceleration, but also by excellent dynamic precision at all times, even in highly demanding situations.

The powerful proportions of a modern SAV, bold design and precise details characterize the clear exterior look and give the BMW iX M60 its distinctive presence. The brake calipers are painted in blue and the logos and symbols come in Titanium Bronze, a beautiful combination with the aerodynamic 22-inch wheels.
