‘Woke’ on steroids: Palm Springs initiates monthly payment plan for transgender, nonbinary residents

Palm Springs, California has gone extremely woke, with the city that is the desert playground for the rich proposing a program that would guarantee monthly income as high as $900 to transgender and nonbinary residents in the name of fighting discrimination.

On Thursday, the Palm Springs City Council voted to allocate $200,000 from two local nonprofits to begin the gratuitous guilt-assuaging payments to members of the marginalized demographic that live there. California is now making moves to implement a guaranteed income plan on a number of levels in the state with Palm Springs leading the way.

Whites Need Not Apply: Systemic Racism in 2021

Ontario has the Human Rights Code to protect people from discrimination. There are specific characteristics called Code grounds that are protected in clearly defined situations/5 social areas. Obviously, race is protected in employment. Yet, there is clear and obvious discrimination against one group of people, Whites. It has now seemingly been made legal.

Take a look at this job posting for a Human Resources Advisor by the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto: a publicly funded organization.

It’s Time to Abolish the Absurd (and Slightly Racist) Concept of “Visible Minorities”

No other country in the world divides itself along racial lines as we do in Canada. According to federal legislation, our country consists of three distinct race groups: Indigenous people, whites and everybody else. Members of this final catch-all category are officially deemed “visible minorities” and defined in law as “persons, other than Aboriginal people, who are non-Caucasian in race or non-white in colour.” Canadians can either be native, white or non-white. How’s that for inclusivity?

The term “visible minority” was invented in 1975 by black activist Kay Livingstone, founder of the Canadian Negro Women’s Association, as the means to unite disparate immigrant groups at a time when Canada was overwhelmingly Caucasian. By 1984, the phrase had gained sufficient currency to play a starring role in the final report of Judge Rosalie Silberman Abella’s Commission on Equality in Employment, and was later enshrined in law via the federal Employment Equity Act of 1986

Poilievre gets rock star welcome in Calgary

Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre drew a huge, adoring crowd Tuesday night at Calgary’s Spruce Meadows.

As many as 5,000 people showed up on Calgary’s southwest outskirts to hear Poilievre speak, making it his most attended rally since he began campaigning.

Cars were backed up for two kilometers on the highway leading to Spruce Meadows.

Even Poilievre was apparently stuck in the jam, starting his speech starting more than an hour late.
