4 Blue Box Special Lowering Stall Current on Athearn Motors

Athearn Blue Box SD40-2 motor preparation for DCC and sound installation. We need to reduce the stall current on the blue motor and get it under 1.5 amps. This method works very well and will last for a few years until the next maintenance cycle. This fix is not destructive and if you wreck it in the process you only need a new set of brushes.

Take note of the amp draw at 5 volts towards the end - .06, that's pretty good.
