The regime in Washington, by its own account, is at a greater risk of collapse now than at any point in American history. As I see it, Washington's greatest threats however are not the prospect of Trump supporters waving flags in the Capital rotunda. Washington in recent years has lost legitimacy in the eyes of a substantial portion of the US population, and in the coming financial crisis, Washington is likely going to be rendered financially impotent.
