Horrors and Mysteries - Is it the right bit?

The guessing game on my air filter - It don't match the original vehicle or the newer engine. So what is it and did I guess right? Looks like there's more work to do on this task too - derusting horror to be dealt with. This is what happens if basic maintenance is left for ages - this must have not been touched for years. It's only a crucial bit to stop the engine going bang! My truck is a Land Rover Series 3 SWB/88" with 200Tdi from a Discovery with the turbo removed. 2.5ltr N/A or TD Air Filter Part number NRC9238
