Rogue One and Editing Part 1 - Showing and Telling

"Show, don't tell" isn't always the best rule to write or edit by. Sometimes, it's good to show, while other times, it's better to tell. In this video, we're using scenes from Rogue One as examples of when to show and when to tell.

Also, I'll show how to introduce characters more naturally into a story as it flows. Plus, I felt that the choppy opening of the film, as well as Saw Guerrera, could use a bit of editing magic in this first of a two-part series covering Rogue One.

This video is not intended to sway anyone away from enjoying the movie shown in the video. If you like a movie as it is, enjoy it, no matter what anyone says. It's only entertainment, after all, and valid criticism helps us to learn and grow. :)
