How to Pronounce the Name YHVH (1st Video in the Hebrew Vocab Block)

This is the 1st video in Rebekah's block "12 Basic Hebrew Words."

Rebekah (not a native Hebrew speaker) gives simple understanding to 12 Hebrew words: YHVH, Yahshua, Ruach ha'Kodesh, Shabbat, Mo'edim, Mikvah, Melchizedek (still to come: Elohim, Shalom Aleikhem, Teshuvah, Ahmein and Israel).

The Royal (Melchizedek) Law commands that we use the name of our God. The origin of the word shav (7723) used in Exodus 20:7 is "from an unused word." In other words, if we don't say The Name we are breaking that Commandment by making it an "unused word." We are to use His name and not His title ("God" and "Lord") as most all Christians do. Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the NAME of Yahweh will be saved.”

The most important name in all the Universe is spelled out as the Tetragram in the Torah as "YHVH" or "YHWH." We pronounce it "Yahweh, Yehovah, Yahovah" or a plethora of other ways. The important thing to expose is that HIS (the NAME by which we are saved) has been stolen from us. But the good news is that it is being restored!

You see, a long time ago the translators of our Scriptures learned at the feet of the Jewish Rabbis. At that time the Rabbi's had already illegally placed upon Israel a "ban on the Name." They said it was too holy to say. Again, they usurped the words of YHVH himself, who commands us to use his name. When the translators of our Scriptures went to translate "YHVH" they took "YHVH" out and replaced it with "THE LORD" (in smaller caps). They did this over 7,000 times!

"I am YHVH, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another" Isaiah 42:8

"Therefore My people shall know My name." Isaiah 52:6

But His Name is coming back! Every true Melchizedek priest (disciples of Rabbi Ye'shua) will use the actual name of The Creator to do His work. May you have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Since the release of this video we now pronounce and transliterate His Name, Yehovah due to our study with Nehemiah Gordon.
